Act 5 Scene 3 Summary

1. Paris and his Page enter.

2. Paris went to the graveyard to see if someone’s coming.

3. Romeo and Balthasar enter.

4. Romeo and Paris are talking about Romeo being banished from Verona and start fighting.

5. The Page exits.

6. Paris said, “Oh no, I’ve been killed, open the tomb and put me next to Juliet.” In Shakespearean Paris said, “Oh, I am slain! If thou be merciful, open the tomb. Lay me with Juliet.”

7. Paris dies.

8. Romeo realised that he killed Mercutio relative, Paris.

9. Romeo opens a tomb.

10. Romeo drink the potion.

11. Romeo dies.

12. Friar Lawrence enters.

13. Friar Lawrence talks to Balthasar about Romeo and saw Romeo and Paris lie down and they’re dead.

14. Juliet wakes up.

15. Juliet asks, “Friar, where’s my Romeo, where is he?”

16. Friar Lawrence said, “I can hear a noise, it’s Juliet.”

17. Juliet said, “Go, just go, I am not going anywhere.”

18. Friar Lawrence exits.

19. Watchmen and Paris’s Page enter.

20. Juliet uses Romeo’s dagger to kill herself.

21. Juliet dies.

22. Chief Watchmen said, “The ground is bloody.”

23. Some Watchmen exit.

24. The Second Watchman and Balthasar re-enter.

25. They found Romeo in the churchyard.

26. The Third Watchmen and Friar Lawrence re-enter.

27. The Prince and Attendants enter.

28. The Prince asks, “What happened this time?”

29. Capulet and Lady Capulet enter.

30. Capulet asks, “Why are they crying so loud?”

31. Lady Capulet said, “Some people crying Romeo, some are crying Juliet and some are crying for Paris.”

32. Friar Lawrence will explain everything that happened before.

33. Montague enters.

34. The Prince wants to know how it started and what happened.

35. Friar Lawrence said, “I will explain.”

36. Friar Lawrence told everything that happened before, in Shakespearean English he said, “Romeo, there dead, was husband to that Juliet, and she, there dead, that Romeo’s faithful wife. I married them, and their stol’n marriage day was Tybalt’s doomsday, whose untimely death banished the new-made bridegroom from the city.” which means “Romeo who lies dead was Juliet’s husband and Juliet as well who lies dead is Romeo’s wife. They got married on the same day Tybalt died. The reason why their dead because of Romeo got banished from Verona.”

37. Friar Lawrence wants to get punished for doing something wrong.

38. The Prince doesn’t want to punish Friar Lawrence because he is a holy man.

39. Balthasar brought the news of Juliet’s death.

40. Montague and Capulet spoke nicely about Romeo and Juliet.

41. The Prince said, “Some will be punished and some will be forgiven.”

42. They all exit.

Act 5 Scene 2 Summary

1. Friar John enters.

2. Friar John said, “Oh my brother, yes.”

3. Friar Lawrence enters.

4. Friar Lawrence said, “That is a voice of Friar John, welcome.”

5. Friar John said, “I couldn’t go to Mantua. Here’s your letter.”

6. Friar Lawrence said, “This is an important letter and has important information, go and get me a iron crowbar.”

7. Friar John said, “Ok my brother, I’ll bring it to you.”

8. Friar John exits.

9. Friar Lawrence said, “For the next three hours, Juliet will wake up and I’ll be in a serious trouble if Romeo doesn’t know what’s going on.”

10. Friar Lawrence exits.

Act 5 Scene 1 Summary

1. Romeo enters.

2. Romeo is waiting for the good news by saying “If I can trust my dreams, then some joyful news is coming soon.”

3. Balthasar enters.

4. Romeo said, “Is there any good news, Balthasar?”

5. Balthasar said, “No, Juliet’s dead.”

6. Romeo said, “I’ll go back to Verona for Juliet.”

7. Balthasar exits.

8. Romeo said, “Oh Juliet, I will die tonight.”

9. The Apothecary enters.

10. Romeo said, “I’ll give you money, may I have the poison potion please?”

11. The Apothecary said, “Ok but it can kill a person who is twenty times stronger than just a person.”

12. Romeo said, “Here’s a money for you.”

13. They exit.

Act 4 Scene 5 Summary

1. The Nurse enters.

2. The Nurse is calling Lady Capulet because Juliet is fast asleep.

3. Lady Capulet enters.

4. Lady Capulet said, “Wake up, wake up!”

5. Capulet enters.

6. Capulet said, “Oh no, she’s dead!”

7. Friar Lawrence, Paris and Musicians enter.

8. Friar Lawrence said, “Is she ready to go to church?”

9. Capulet said, “No because she’s dead.”

10. Paris said, “Have I waited to see this.”

11. The Nurse said, “This is a sad day.”

12. Capulet said, “All the the things we use for the wedding now be use for the funeral.”

13. They exit.

Act 4 Scene 4 Summary

1. Lady Capulet and the Nurse enter.

2. Lady Capulet orders the Nurse to go to the kitchen.

3. Capulet enters.

4. Capulet tells the second cooker to make baked meats.

5. The Nurse said, “Go to bed, you’ll be sick if you stay up all night, my dear.”

6. Capulet said, “No, I’ve been stay up all night so many times and I’ve never been sick.”

7. Lady Capulet said, “Don’t stay up all night.”

8. Lady Capulet and the Nurse exit.

9. Three or four Servingmen enter.

10. Capulet said, “What do you got?”

11. The First Servingmen said, “Things to cook but I don’t know what they are.”

12. Capulet said, “Quick, quick.”

13. The First Servingmen exit.

14. Capulet asks the Second Servingmen to call Peter to find a log.

15. The Second Servingmen said, “I’m smart enough to find them by myself.”

16. The Nurse enters.

17. Capulet said, “Wake Juliet and get her dressed.”

18. They exit.

Act 4 Scene 3 Summary

1. Juliet and the Nurse enter.

2. Juliet said, “Those are the best clothes for the wedding.”

3. Lady Capulet enters.

4. Capulet asks Juliet if Juliet needs help.

5. Juliet said, “No, I just figure out my best clothes for my wedding.”

6. Lady Capulet said, “Good night, Juliet.”

7. Lady Capulet and the Nurse exit.

8. Juliet talks things about herself and drinks the potion that will make her sleep 42 hours.

9. She sleeps until the day after tomorrow.

Act 4 Scene 2 Summary

1. Capulet, Lady Capulet, the Nurse and three servingmen enter.

2. Capulet asks the First Servingman to invite all the guests on the list.

3. The First Servingmen exits.

4. Capulet asks the Second Servingman to hire twenty skilled cooks.

5. The Second Servingman said, “I’ll test them by licking them.”

6. The Second Servingman exits.

7. Capulet ask the Nurse, “Is Juliet going to Friar Lawrence’s cell?”

8. The Nurse said, “Yes.”

9. Juliet enters.

10. Juliet asks Capulet for the forgiveness for what she done.

11. Capulet forgives her and and ask her to prepare her marriage.

12. Juliet and the Nurse exit.

13. Capulet is looking forward to her wedding.

14. Capulet exits.

Act 4 Scene 1 Summary

1. Friar Lawrence and Paris enter.

2. Paris said that Juliet is sad because of Tybalt’s death.

3. Juliet enters.

4. Paris and Juliet talking about what happens before.

5. Paris exits.

6. Juliet is talking about what will happen in her marriage.

7. Friar Lawrence said, “Everything is going to be alright.”

8. They exit.

Act 3 Scene 5 Summary

1. Romeo and Juliet enter.

2. Romeo and Juliet are talking.

3. The Nurse enters.

4. The Nurse is calling Juliet.

5. Enters Lady Capulet.

6. Lady Capulet is talking to Juliet about Juliet’s marriage.

7. Lady said, “You should marry Paris.”

8. Juliet refuses to get married.

9. Capulet enters.

10. He found out that Juliet doesn’t want to get married.

11. Capulet begins to get a bit angry.

12. Capulet said, “If you don’t want to marry Paris then you must leave our house and you’ll die in the street because you have no house and no food.”

13. Capulet exits.

14. Juliet said, “Mother, don’t go.”

15. Lady Capulet said, “Don’t talk to me, I think I had enough with you now.”

16. Lady Capulet exits.

17. Juliet tells the Nurse, “Tell my mother that I’m gone.”

18. The Nurse exits.

19. Juliet is angry about the Nurse.

20. Juliet exits.

Act 3 Scene 4 Summary

1. Capulet, Lady Capulet and Paris enter.

2. Capulet is worrying about that he didn’t tell Juliet about her marriage to marry Paris.

3. Capulet was about to say something about Juliet’s marriage.

3. Capulet ask Paris, “What day is it?”

4. Paris said, “It’s Monday.”

5. Capulet said, “Wednesday is too soon, make it Thursday.”

6. Capulet told Paris to go home.

7. He asks Lady Capulet to go to Juliet’s bedroom to talk to Juliet about that she will marry Paris on Thursday.

8. They all exit.
